Lake Tahoe during Summer

Lake Tahoe during Summer

What comes to your mind when you hear the word summer? Beaches? Golf? Other equally fun outdoor activities? Chances are you thought of all three and more. Let’s start with the first thing on your head—beaches. Lake Tahoe has about 72 miles of shoreline so discussing beaches can take up a day or so. We know that you are eager to start your vacation so we tried our best to sum it up in a few sentences. Facilities like benches, restrooms, BBQ stands, and snack bars are common to these summer spots. Aside from facilities, other similarities of the beaches are the perfect exfoliating sand and the inviting clear shores. Our top three beaches in Lake Tahoe are the Commons Beach Park which is ideal for families, the Burnt Cedar Beach for summer swim party-goers, and the Meek’s Bay Resort for boating fanatics.

Enough about blue waters and let’s move on to green grass. If you, or one of your family or friends, are another Tiger Woods in the making, then practice teeing in the many impressive golf courses in Lake Tahoe. There are few golf courses in the world that can claim to have 18 holes set up in a breathtaking view. Edgewood Tahoe is one of the few ones. If you are more interested in the game than the panorama, then go to the Resort at Squaw Creek Championship Course. It certainly provides enough challenge for experts.

Other fun activities in Lake Tahoe that can only be enjoyed in summer are biking, climbing, hiking, and sightseeing.
